Strong winds and blowing snow were to blamed for a several major accidents in the province yesterday.
The biggest was on the Trans Canada Highway near Grand Falls involving 20-25 vehicles.
While several people had to be transported to hospitals in Grand Falls and Edmunston, there were no reports of major injuries.
The RCMP say at least 15 vehicles were involved in a series of collisions at the Cocagne bridge Tuesday morning, causing highway 11 to be closed.
Four people were taken to the hospital.
Another seven vehicle accident happened in the afternoon near Fredericton. That lead to three people being rushed to hospital with significant injuries.
There were a number of other crashes across the province.
Several roads and bridges were closed throughout the Acadian Peninsula due to weather and road conditions, including the Tabusintac Bridge and the Green Bridge into Esgenoopetitj.
