The senate is expected to make its final decision today on back to work legislation for Canada Post employees.
A third and final reading of Bill C-89 is scheduled for this afternoon.
If passed, the legislation could come into effect as early as tomorrow afternoon.
The Senate met for eight hours during a rare Saturday session.
The legislation passed the House of Commons during a special session last week that dragged into the early morning hours on Saturday.
The Canadian Union of Postal workers is criticizing the move saying it is a violation of its members constitutional rights.
