– The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest, single-day, community-driven fundraising event in support of breast

cancer research as well as support, health education and advocacy programs.
Registration is now open for the 2018 Canadian Cancer Society

CIBC Run for the Cure. The Canadian Cancer Society is the largest charitable funder of breast cancer research in Canada and plays a

comprehensive role across the breast cancer spectrum – from education and prevention to research and support. In 2017, almost 80,000

participants from across Canada helped raise funds for relevant and innovative breast cancer research, support, health education and advocacy

programs.
In 2017, more than 10,000 volunteers dedicated their time and energy in 56 communities across Canada to help make the CIBC Run

for the Cure a success.
Since the event began in 1992, the CIBC Run for the Cure has raised $430 million for breast cancer research and support

programs.
In 2017, 15,000 Team CIBC members volunteered, walked, ran and raised more than $3 million, contributing to a total of $17 million

raised by Run participants across Canada.
